1.1 Safety of the operator
- Before each use, the operator must check the functional performance of the unit, to protect customers and third parties from any possible danger.
- The use of the systems requires special expertise and care in their handling. Only persons who have participated in an instruction seminar and are familiar with the safety requirements, regulations and work steps may operate the device.
- Every operator must have read and understood these operating instructions before using the unit. In addition, the personnel must be familiarized with the safety regulations and work procedures before use and be instructed in these.
- The safety of customers depends mainly on the qualifications of the operators and the suitability of the work area. The personnel must inform the customer of all hazards arising from this unit. The success of the application depends to a large extent on the experience and the knowledge of the personnel.
1.2 Work area
- The working environment should be dry and not exceed a maximum humidity of 30%.
- The room temperature must not be higher than 20° Celsius. If this value is exceeded, it is advisable to use an air conditioner.
1.3 Disposal of the device
- According to the European Directive 2002/96/EC on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), electrical appliances must not be disposed with conventional household waste. Please enquire at the waste offices of the municipalities about collection points or return the device to LifeCube GmbH. The address can be found on page 3 under “Customer Service”.
1.4 Safety of the customer
- The application and procedure of the LifeCube must be explained to the customer.
- Before using the LifeCube, the customer must sign a declaration of consent und truthfully fill out a questionnaire about possible contraindications.
- Before entering the chamber, the customer must put on the corresponding protective clothing. These include face mask, ear protection, slippers, and gloves.
- The maximal application time of three minutes may not be exceeded.
1.5 Fire hazard
- Never use the device near explosives, combustible or easily flammable materials.
1.6 Electrical and mechanical safety
- The device is earthed. Grounding is very important for safety.
- The power supply for the system is a three-phase 400V and the load capacity is 6 kW.
- The chamber system has to be connected to the power supply by a skilled electrician. For this, a power connection with a capacity of 32 A has to be in close proximity to the aggregate. We recommend a circuit breaker with a rated current of 32 A and the trigger characteristic C. The power connection is provided by the customer, though LifeCube GmbH. will be pleased to provide advice.
- The high voltage in the device is dangerous. Even after switching off the power supply some parts could still store power. Therefore, no one other than the technical personnel should open the device.
- The entire device (chamber, aggregate, and water chiller) should not be moved without prior consultation with LifeCube GmbH.
- The device should never be disconnected from the power supply. If a longer power failure happens nevertheless, please contact the service team of LifeCube GmbH.
- The device should be turned off at night when it is not used. After the system has been turned off through the App, the dehumidification program starts automatically and runs for about seven hours.
